My Story
I’m a hopeless romantic. That wooshing feeling you get from a significant look, perhaps a hand-flex, a world-spinning kiss, a slowburn that makes you want to throw the book across the room… I can’t get enough of it. So I wrote some of my own!
I cut my writer-teeth on Jane Austen fan-fiction, and chased that up with ER fanfiction. And that probably tells you everything you need to know. My favourite place is at the intersection of high-brow and how-low-can-you-go? Not that I buy into the high/low BS, but you know what I mean. Nerdy and naughty.
Personal Life
I live with my husband, two kids, and one enormous fluffy cat, in Ōtautahi (Christchurch), a big-ish city here in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
I’m a high school English teacher by day (and sometimes night). I lean into all the stereotypes: running the writers group, corralling the poetry slammers, inviting local authors to visit. Creative communities are my jam, and I’m a part of perhaps too many writers groups, including my local Romance Writers of New Zealand.
