How much harm can one night possibly do?

Exciting news! My short story is out next week. But it gets even better – you can get it for free!

If you haven’t subscribed to my mailing list yet, you’ll get the story for free when you do. Sign up here!

If you already get my newsletter, don’t worry, you can grab your free copy by being one of the first ten entrants to my launch-week giveaway. To enter…

  • write an honest review any of my books, or
  • share one of my book posts on any social media platform.

That’s it! Easy peasy.

You can totally keep reading to hear all about the story, and where it fits in the Have Heart, Will Travel series, and what kind of subterfuge I’m getting at. Or you can go enter the contest, quickly, before ten people get in ahead of you.

The Artist and the Attorney is a short story – maybe a 2 hour read, or less if you tend to skim-read when things get exciting.

Yep, I’m calling it. This is probably the most exciting thing I’ve ever written.

Lucinda has got to stop painting her ex, but she can’t summon even a sketch of anyone else—that is, until a stranger walks into the gallery one evening.

Mel is running out of options. To get the evidence she needs in court, she’s prepared to do pretty much anything. She’s never posed for an artist before, but Lucinda needs a model, and Mel needs access to the gallery. If they’re using each other, at least it’s mutual. And just the once.

Wondering where this fits in the series? Lucinda’s ex is Kate from What’s Dutch for Damn? This a flawed character but I wanted to give her a happy ending, because the world needs more queer happy endings.

You can pre-order the short story here.
